STUDIO ART AT LITTLE ART HOUSE with Meg Marano

Have you always been interested in art but never knew where to begin? No matter your skill level, get back to the basics! Drawing, Color Theory, Elements and Principles Design, and Painting. Each student will receive a sketchbook with the papers for the series of classes, as well as, notes on the basics to reference throughout the lessons and afterwards. Each class will walk away with a work of art to take home.
MODERN CALLIGRAPHY with Molly Margaret
Thursday, March 1st, 6:30-9:30pm, Advance Registration Required
Whether you've taken a calligraphy class before or never picked up a pen and ink, this class is designed to inspire you to get creative at all skill levels.
It will be a night filled with fun and learning. No previous calligraphy experience is needed. The goal is to inspire you to use the concepts you learn in this class to add flare to your next party, holiday cards, crafting, gifting and more!
PHOTOGRAPHY 101 with Emily Lester
Sunday, March 11 3-5PM, Advance Registration Required
In this class, we will start out with an introduction to photography and move into hands on learning outside. Participants will walk away knowing more about how their camera works, composition, and how to use light to their advantage.
Pysanka: Ukrainian Eggs, with Dan Smith
Tuesday, March 13 & 20, 6:30-8:30pm
You’ll be amazed as you learn an ancient art form! Local artist Dan Smith will reveal to you the technique for creating pysanky, the Ukrainian Easter Egg. Over the course of two evenings you will create your own to take home and enjoy this Easter. All materials will be included in this beginner class; you supply the patience and joy. The context and history of pysanky will be discussed while your egg goes from one color to another as you add designs in beeswax. Sample designs will be available for you to use as you make something unique and have fun learning. A halogen desk lamp is recommended for your workspace.
"RISE UP" MIXED MEDIA WORKSHOP with Cindy Wunsch
Sunday, March 18th, 1-5PM, Advance Registration Required
Create mixed media work on canvas with Local Artist, Cindy Wunsch Bowen. Class will include mixed media supplies, paint and canvas. There will be a small supply list.
Watercolor Easter Garlands with Sarah Arace
Sunday, March 28th, 6:30-8:30pm
Join us in creating a beautiful Easter garland you can use year after year! Picture a paper garland filled with watercolor Easter eggs in delicate colors hung with a ribbon. Sarah will teach basic watercolor techniques and tricks as well as popular pattern designs. Every participant will leave with a garland with at least three finished egg paintings plus two extra papers if desired.
