NASHVILLE SKYLINE ACRYLIC PAINTING with Douglas Charlton
Thursday, October 18th, November 7th, or December 13th, 6:30-9pm, Advance Registration Required
For this workshop, Douglas will direct you through his process applying acrylic on wood to create your very own original Nashville skyline. This class is perfect for beginners and pros! Participants can brainstorm a color scheme to match a room in their house, or create a painting for a friend, or just wing it! It is about the process not necessarily the product though participants always leave happy. Paintings are completed on a hand built oak base around 10x22.
A Village Flowers Fall Floral Designs

Join the A Village of Flowers team as they demonstrate how to turn an assortment of fall flowers and foliage into a beautiful, one of a kind arrangement. The skills and tips they provide will help you create arrangements in the future like a pro!
Introduction to Oil Painting with Kymberlee Stanley

LINOLEUM PRINTMAKING, ALL LEVELS with Emma Bradford
Thursday, September 27th or Tuesday November 13th, 6:30-8:30pm
Have you ever thought about making your own stamps? In this class you’ll learn how to design and cut your own linoleum plate to print on paper or a tea cloth. Whether your experienced or new to printmaking, this is sure to be a fun class and you’ll walk away with knowledge that you can continue to create at home!
MEDITATIVE ART with Marla Faith

Meditative art is where one finds peace and healing through art making. You can choose to come to one or all of the classes, this is NOT a series though we suspect you may find such peace you will want to attend more :). Creatives of all ability levels welcome!
HANDMADE HOLIDAY WRAPPING PAPER

From printing to painting, learn all the ways you can make your own wrapping paper that is a work of art on it’s own! We’ll learn how to create linoleum stamps as well as other materials to print various shapes and patterns. We will also paint patterns that make a lovely gift wrapped to match!
WATERCOLOR LANDSCAPES with Elizabeth Braswell

SOFT PASTEL LANDSCAPES with Sarah Arace

This colorful class is for beginners to intermediate artists interested in working with soft pastels. Participants will review the basics for landscape design and learn more in depth about layering techniques. Participants will leave with one finished landscape piece. It can be anything from a winter wonder land to a deserted tropical island!
MINIATURE PAINTINGS with Elizabeth Braswell

Watercolor Illustrations with Rachel Pritchett

The Village of Flowers team is back to help you create a beautiful, original wreath for your holiday season. The greenery provided lasts up to four weeks and maintains color for longer as well as smells fabulously of pine and other seasonal scents!
INTERMEDIATE MODERN CALLIGRAPHY with Molly Margaret

If you’ve taken a calligraphy workshop in person or online and you’re looking for the next step this is the class for you! In this class we’ll go over techniques for connecting letters to form well balanced words, sentences and entire phrases. We’ll dive into layouts and tips for various calligraphic projects from envelopes to invitations, including numerals and special characters. I’ve been teaching beginners and more advanced students for more than 4 years and love sharing all the tricks and tips I’ve picked up in my 8 years as a professional calligrapher. I use a projector so you get an up close look at forming every letter form without having to crowd around a table. Plus you’ll receive one on one help through out the class!
WATERCOLOR BRUSH TECHNIQUES with Sarah Arace

Welcome to watercolor! This class is for beginners who will be introduced to different kinds of paper, paints, brushes, and techniques of the world of watercolor. Participants will take away a lot of new knowledge and two watercolor brushes to practice with at home.
